Customer information

Shop operators ensure that their customers are informed about vendor, payment and shipping conditions, data privacy and right of withdrawal, to mention only a few keywords of the legal online shop. The texts for customer information have to be carefully prepared and regularly updated to avoid legal pitfalls and consequential warnings.

Shop operators should seek support for providing accurate contents of imprint, General Terms and Conditions, data privacy, shipping and costs, right of withdrawal and such like. In Germany and several other countries, for example, Trusted Shops offers corresponding know-how and certifies online shops. The awarded seal of approval attests to the shops the compliance with standards such as professionalism, data privacy and security of supply.

The most important pages about customer information are already available in the OXID eShop and accessible by default via the footer of the shop. The contents can be edited through the Content Management System (CMS) integrated into the shop. Select Customer info -> CMS pages in the admin panel. In the overview, search for the relevant CMS page and edit its content. The view of CMS pages can be filtered by E-mails, Customer information and Product information. Select Customer information from the drop-down list on the left, above the overview.

Once you have saved your entries, the new content is available in the shop.
