Creating a database
OXID eShop requires a MySQL database to be able to store all the articles, categories, customer and order data, as well as other information. Most web hosts offer a database access via a special website, for example phpMyAdmin. If you need assistance, then please contact your OXID Hosting Partner or Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Now you should create a new MySQL database. The name of the database can be chosen arbitrarily and could, for example, be oxid_eshop. Memorize the database name and the assigned database access data (user name and password). This data will be required to carry out the setup.
